Description

Rosenthal Dresden Floral & Butterfly Demitasse Cup & Saucer Circa 1891 - 1906 Pretty porcelain demitasse cup and saucer with relief molded scrollwork. Decorated with Dresden style flowers in pink, orange, yellow, blue, purple and white. The cup also has a small butterfly on one side. With gold gilding along the edge and gold gilt highlights to the relief molded handle on the cup. The saucer is marked with a green crown over R C Moliere Bavaria. This mark was used by Rosenthal between 1891 and 1906. These have some very minor wear to the gilding and the cup has two really tiny gilded over flakes to the lip, probably done in manufacture. Otherwise good condition with no post manufacture chips or cracks. The cup measures approximately 3 inches wide including the handle x 2 1/4 inches tall. The saucer measures approximately 4 1/2 inches wide. This is an antique and may have small in manufacture defects that do not effect the display of the piece. AR
