This really is unique as I could not find another one online anywhere. It has a really cool shape to it and the colors are great. I think it looks like a box that should be on a vanity with hair accessories or something in it. It could be a catch-all or trinket dish as well. Not sure of the era but the items I found with the same type of color and gold sprayed edge were from the 50's. The bottom has the name Centaur and a number.
