Welcome to Milkweed Antiques. This china handled vegetable bowl is in the traditional pattern of Moss Rose. It was made by Rosenthal, a German company. This bowl is on the Pompadour shape. It has the off white body and the Moss Rose design is off center. This pattern was made from 1950-1964. It has cut work handles with the gold trim. There are embossed cartouches around the scalloped top. The bowl has a 9" diameter. It is 9-1/4" wide with the handles. It is 2-1/4" tall. The ink stamped mark reads: Rosen X crown thal - Germany - Pompadour". As mentioned above, this serving bowl is from the 1950s. I have the coffee service in this pattern in my store as well. This vegetable bowl was used The gold trim is still nice. There are no chips or cracks. There is a scratch in the inside bottom that you can see in the magnified last picture. Please see my pictures.
