Description
This listing is for a beautiful Rosenthal Handpainted Floral Porcelain Vase with Gold Trim . The vase was made in Munich, Germany probably in the 1930's (based on researching the mark on the bottom and other vases with similar floral patterns). The floral pattern is very modern and I was quite surprised at the likely age of the vase. The flowers have almost a dark and moody feel to them that I really like. It has shades of green, chartreuse, plum, purple, yellow, and cream. I have included pictures of the flowers close-up where you can see a bit of the brush-stokes where the light reflects off of their edges. The mark on the bottom says: Rosenthal Handmalerei Abteilung Munchen and is black lettering on a dark green shield that is edged with white and black flourishes. The bottom also says 1074/2 which I think refers to the mold used for the bisque vase. The vase is 6.5" tall. It weighs 14 oz and is in excellent condition. No defects found. Please review the photos and ask questions if anything is in doubt. Thanks for looking, EKB Vintage
